Lunch Program
Our dedicated volunteers distribute food and lunches to more than 800 children each year—a commitment we began during the Covid-19 crisis and have proudly sustained ever since. As one of only two Summer Food locations partnering with Wake County Sun Meals, we are honored to ensure that no child in our community goes without a healthy meal.
Weekend Food Bags
At Pine Acres Community Center, we prepare weekend food bags for children enrolled in the county's lunch program, ensuring that healthy meals are available even when school is out. Each Friday during the summer, our volunteers distribute these bags on a first-come basis to families throughout our community. We welcome new volunteers and supporters to join us in making sure every child has enough to eat all week long.
Meals on Wheels
Meals on Wheels is a federally supported nutrition program that delivers healthy meals to homebound seniors and adults with disabilities, helping them stay nourished and connected in their own homes. As the proud distribution site for the Fuquay-Varina Meals on Wheels program, Pine Acres Community Center serves as a trusted local hub where these vital meals reach the neighbors who need them most. We are honored to play a role in caring for our community's most vulnerable members, one meal at a time.
